Completing your degree in Term 3?
Applications for an Award & Enrolment Statement (Completion Letter) will be available by either post or collect from 17 December 2021.

You can use these statements when you need to provide verification of your enrolment, or the completion of your studies (e.g. for a prospective employer).

Please note: Enrolment Statements are not available to students who were enrolled prior to 1990. To obtain a record of your enrolment you will need to request an Academic Transcript.

Award and Enrolment Statement (completion letter)

This can only be issued once your graduation status is 'Awarded'.

You can use the Award and Enrolment Statement to verify your program completion and eligibility to graduate.

The statement lists these dates:

  • Completion of your studies
  • Conferral of the award
  • Your graduation ceremony

It also verifies your enrolment for each semester/term you have been enrolled at UNSW since 1990:

  • Semester/term start dates
  • Program enrolled in
  • Normal program duration
  • Your study load in each semester/term


Enrolment Statement

The Enrolment Statement verifies your enrolment for each semester/term you have been enrolled at UNSW since 1990:

  • The semester/term start dates
  • Program enrolled in
  • Normal program duration
  • Your study load in each semester/term

Please Note:
To enable the University to fulfil its obligations under the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act (NSW) 1998 and in order to ensure that your personal and student information is kept safe, you will need to complete an identity check as part of this application. Please prepare valid photo ID to verify your identity and complete the application. If you are using Australian Commonwealth or State Government issued documentation to support your request, UNSW will verify and confirm the validity of your documents via the Document Verification Service (DVS) managed by the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department (subject to you providing consent for the University to do so in the Verification section of this form). Information on the DVS is available at www.dvs.gov.au.

For any DVS checks on non current students
If you have changed your name since you studied at UNSW, you will also need to provide evidence of this by providing either a copy of your marriage certificate, official change of name certificate or a copy of other relevant documentation.

Please note statements will be held for collection for a period of four (4) weeks, from the date of application. If you do not collect the document within this time, the statement will be securely discarded.
